Kid Project: Keep the Peace on the Road

Road trips with the kids can be daunting. Below are some suggestions that may make the trip a little easier.

  • As an alternative to DVD players, why not try audio books? Kids can listen while also keeping active with coloring and other activities. Free audio books can be found and easily downloaded at  https://www.librivox.org/. Search by title, author, or browse by subject.
  • Play the license plate game! Print out a check list of all the different license plates you see along the road at www.momsminivan.com/print-license-plate.html . Or, see who can count the numbers on the license plate the fastest!
  • Bring along coloring books, crayons, and snacks and keep in deep pockets that can hang around your car seats.
