It has been more than 45 days since Hurricane Sandy made landfall on the southern coast of New Jersey, and one thing is clear: we have a long road ahead of us. Although many of us recovered, much of our beloved New Jersey is still in desperate need of relief.
Over this past month and a half, Plymouth Rock Assurance has heard many inspiring stories from our customers, employees, and neighbors all across New Jersey. Each story has moved us to do our best to help the victims of Hurricane Sandy.
Earlier this month, we held a resource fair bringing together FEMA, flood insurance representatives, contractors, realtors, financial professionals, and our Claims team to help customers get questions answered face-to-face and take action towards restoring their homes. It was an emotional day for many, and it cemented our belief in how important it is to offer Sandy Forgiveness to help New Jersey.
As part of our Sandy Forgiveness, we continue to waive all Sandy-related auto comprehensive claims for all our new and existing New Jersey customers. This means if you filed an auto comprehensive claim as a result of Sandy, it WILL NOT affect your rates. This is the right thing to do for New Jersey.
We will continue to stay focused on our customers and all of NJ as we recover and move forward. To aid in recovery, we have compiled an extensive list of disaster recovery resources for Hurricane Sandy including FEMA, the New Jersey Office of Emergency Management, Federal Disaster Unemployment Assistance, and many more.
