Where to Catch Greater Boston Area Fourth of July Fireworks

Summer’s trademark holiday has finally arrived! The Fourth of July weekend is filled with family and friends, food, dressing in your best red, white, and blue, and of course, fireworks! Whether you’re spending the holiday relaxing by the beach, enjoying a good old-fashioned backyard barbeque, or hosting a party, the night always ends the same way, with fireworks. If you’re spending Independence Day weekend in Massachusetts, here are a few places where you can see Greater Boston Area Fourth of July fireworks.

June 29

Only a 15 minute drive from the heart of the city, you can get a great show to kick off your fun-filled July 4 weekend!


Where: Trum Field (Franey Road)

When: 9:15 pm

July 3

Can’t wait until the 4th to get your dose of fireworks? Have no fear! Here’s a list of places that will have a show on the 3rd :


Where: Center Field (Worthen Road)

When: 8:30–10 pm


Where: Red Rock Park (Lynn Shore Drive)

When: 9 pm


Where: Needham High School (Admiral Gracy Drive)

When: 9:30 pm          

 July 4

Since Boston is where the fight for America’s freedom began, it’s only fitting that it has the best fireworks show the nation has to offer: the Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular! 

Where: Boston Esplanade along the banks of the Charles River

When: 10:30 pm
