Staff-Approved Stadium Eats

Plate full of food in sportsstadium

Did you know Plymouth Rock offers exclusive benefits to fans of the New England Patriots, Boston Bruins, Boston Red Sox, New York Yankees, New Jersey Devils and Penn State? And since sporting events and awesome eats go hand in hand, we’ve rounded up some of the top restaurants in or near the stadiums.

Before you go: please visit each restaurant’s official website for their current COVID-19 guidelines, including wearing masks and social distancing, as these are constantly changing.

New England Patriots

Located in the heart of Patriot Place, CBS Sporting Club features sports-bar classics with a modern twist like their “wicked hot chili.” Vegetarians can enjoy choices like the garden vegetable flatbread or Greek avocado salad. Best of all, members of The New England Patriots Official Auto Insurance Program receive 15% off their meals.

If you’d like a big meal before (or after) the game, visit Davio’s Northern Italian Steakhouse, also in Patriot Place. Davio’s features everything from aged steaks to simple-yet-unique pasta creations to an extensive gluten-free menu—all made by hand from the finest ingredients. Plus, with flavors like chicken parm and shrimp Cotija, their egg rolls are not to be missed.

Boston Bruins

If you’re looking for a high-energy vibe on your way to or from TD Garden, check out Hurricanes with their open layout and live music from some of the country’s top cover bands. From stacked burgers to loaded hot dogs to pizza to gluten-free options, they offer something for everyone.

A hot spot for locals and tourists alike, it’s no wonder why West End Johnnie’s slogan is “Great food. Great drinks. Great people.” Browse the vintage sports memorabilia while sampling crowd pleasers like their spicy honey wings and lobster corn chowder.

Boston Red Sox

While lots of great food can be found in or near Fenway Park, Hojoko also delivers a dining experience that’s as fun as its décor. Within vibrant graffiti-covered walls, this eclectic rock-and-roll-themed Japanese tavern is hard to miss. Whether you’re craving sashimi, sushi or ramen, the menu will not disappoint. Their kimchi fried rice is a staff favorite.

El Pelón Taqueria is a go-to for authentic Mexican fare served by a friendly staff. Customers are treated like family and encouraged to submit travel photos to hang on the t-shirt gallery walls. Every meal is made to order using the freshest ingredients, with flavorful gluten-free, dairy-free and vegetarian options available. This bright and cozy eatery gets jam-packed, so you may want to grab your burrito to go.

New York Yankees

Before choosing from the plethora of concessions at Yankee Stadium, consider treating yourself to a top-quality dry-aged USDA Prime steak at NYY Steak, where Pinstripe Perks members get 10% off their meals. Or try one of their fish, pork or chicken entrees. With their stylish interior and “signature wall,” it’s the perfect date-night destination for Yankees fans.

Located inside the stadium, Hard Rock Cafe is the ultimate stop for music lovers and sports fans alike. Our #1 staff pick is The Impossible™ Burger, a plant-based vegan patty topped with cheddar cheese, a crispy onion ring, lettuce and tomato. Sign up for Pinstripe Perks for a 10% food discount.

New Jersey Devils

Prudential Center concessions cater to a variety of tastes, but the Chicken Coop is a top pick with their juicy, golden-brown chicken and delicious dipping sauces. Kids stuck in the “I only want chicken fingers” stage will love the souvenir Devils helmet filled with tenders and fries.

The stadium is conveniently located near a huge selection of restaurants, including top-rated Portuguese, Spanish and Brazilian options only a short drive away in Newark’s Ironbound section. Fornos of Spain features an outdoor garden and provides generous portions served by an attentive staff. We recommend trying the black rice paella.

Penn State

While Beaver Stadium has no shortage of fan favorites like popcorn and pretzels, State College is home to many family-friendly stops like The Original Waffle Shop, a breakfast-junkie landmark. Loaded with whipped cream, the chocolate chip waffle is a must-try. Beyond waffles, they also provide an extensive array of omelets, burgers, sandwiches and salads.

Any loyal Penn State fan knows a trip to the campus wouldn’t be complete without a stop at the Berkey Creamery. From popular flavors like Mint Nittany to creative creations like Apple Cobbler Crunch, it’s easy to see why they’ve been a college tradition since 1865.
